Angel of New Orleans

"There's the delusional but harmless man who has come to New Orleans because this is the scene of the apocalypse, and he says he felt pushed here by his imaginary girlfriend, the late Joan of Arc."

That would be me. I am not delusional. Yes I did go to New Orleans to help the people there. The film does not mention that I was a relief worker in other capacities, such as at Washington Park, besides my stay at Kamp Katrina. Anyway, how can anyone deny that New Orleans was the scene of an apocolypse? Just ask the people that drowned in their attics. I'm sure that they would consider it about as much apocolypse as they could stand. My time at the camp and my appearance in the film was a very small part of what I actually did while down there.

One more thing...she's not imaginary, she's invisible...to me, anyway. There were plenty of people in New Orleans that could see her, that knew her... Miss Pearl included. Anyway, that is a long story in and of itself. It suffices to say, though, that if someone had told me a year before Katrina hit that Joan of Arc would manifest herself to me and drag me to a destroyed New Orleans, I would have seriously considered having them committed. The Lord works in mysterious ways, though. I've certainly come to understand that!

That being said, I must point out that this is a much better review than many that I've read of the film. I believe that maybe you did actually watch it. Thank you.
