Obama Hopes Could Rest on Jena Case

Submitted by RuthieM, Sep 20, 2007 10:30

This is a sad day in America when these black activist men draw and single out Senator Obama and slam him when they have not done the same for all the black leaders, mayors, congressmen and all others around this nation! And where is their outrage when Condoleeza Rice remains silent on every black issue? She's black. She has more clout than Obama. Why is it they never single her out and demand she make a statement or an appearance? The only reason Hillary Clinton and John Edwards are expressing their "outrage" (and let me add they only spoke AFTER Senator Obama came out and spoke) is because they want the black vote, the same black vote that John Edwards is telling the nation why he is the only one electable, because, as his union endorsements have stated in regards to Edwards, all America probably won't vote for a black man (Obama) so because John Edwards is white and male, they have endorsed him saying he is most electable for that reason. So John Edwards is really campaigning on SEGREGATION, not unification as he is talking. John AND Elizabeth Edwards are campaigning on this same DIVISION mantra, without coming right and saying America will not vote for a black man so vote for John because he's white and male. As far as Hillary is concerned, again, she came out and spoke AFTER Obama made his statements, like she usually does, wait for Obama to make his move, THEN SHE FOLLOWS. She is only pandering again and again, for the black vote, which in my opinion blacks are stupid to give her -- all of them. So, of course, as far as the media is concerned and those black jealous activists are concerned, she is going to "outdo" Obama on this issue. She'll make anything up, for the moment. Obama is outraged about this. What's he supposed to do to 'show he is 'black enough'? Come to Jena with raised fist and pants hanging down around his butt while carrying a boombox basing all 3500 people out of their homes? Would he be 'black enough' then? These black activists need to quit, they need to back off Obama in this area. They need to just get behind him and support him or shut up and keep marching. They chose their path, activists, Obama chose his, Senator, and now presidential candidate. It does not mean that every time there is a 'black issue' Obama should respond as they do. Obama responds as Obama does and they need to accept that and shut up! Obama did the right thing and as long as he feels right about his stand on this issue and feels true to himself, I back him one thousand percent, because he has continuously shown me that he has the judgment, vision, strength, and leadership that has not only brought him this far, but to also run our nation and bridge this abominable world divide. As far as 'Obama hopes could rest on Jena' -- I disagree. Why?
