NYU, Brooklyn Polytechnic Merger Talks To Resume
in response to reader comment: First Farmingdale, now Brooklyn??

I heard the news a month after they announced resuming the talk. Then I heard many voices including outside of the campus concerned about the possible merger. As a current and i11l ;-) student at Poly, I don't know which way would be the better for the school and for us. One thing, though.. I hate to admit that there're people recognizing the name value of their dipolma, alas, in the job market. So my concern is what if the school disappears after I graudate from. Personally I don't really care whether my school is becoming either NYU or Poly on my dipolma or resume because what you learn in school is the real essence of the education not the name value. I wonder if people from both schools take really serious about this.
