1. You cannot stop Mr Ellison from swearing on the Koran. No one can. Period.

2. What American values are you talking about that are derived from the Bible ?: Slavery, high divorce rate, teenage pregnancies, openly gay couples, cohabiting before marriage, and the worst of them all - placing elderly parents in nursing homes rather than taking care of them at home...... We Americans need to turn to the holiest of all holy books for the right answers: The Bhagavad Gita.

3. Original American values were those of the native Americans (and not from the Bible) and we massacred those poor people.

4. Current American heritage is Hindu- Buddhist-Christian-Muslim. We are multi-religious. That's a fact. The past (that you talk of) is over... finito. Live with it.

5. American Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims etc do not accept the Bible. And their values are no less and probably higher than yours. Amen.
