Bush Denounces Ad Mocking General Petraeus

I am outraged by President Bush's thinly veiled threat that Democrats should be more afraid of irritating the U.S. Military than of offending an organization that speaks-out on behalf of many American Citizens.

Should we as citizens also be afraid of irritating the U.S. Military? Why are our lawmakers spending any time at all denouncing statements made by a grass-roots, citizen-based group that reflect the sentiments of a steadily growing portion of the American population who oppose the war?

What is the message here? I'm afraid the message is don't oppose the current administration or you will lose your job, be ridiculed by the propaganda machine financed by Big Business and be in danger of irritating people with guns, tanks and bombs.

Maybe Bush is not planning to leave office in 2008, maybe he's thinking of taking over the U.S. Military and staying in power. He's already taken over everything else and had the justice department make it retroactively legal for him to break the law.

I'm not afraid of the U.S. Military, I'm not afraid of a political action group, I'm afraid of the President and his idea that he is the ruler of this country and can't be held accountable for his crimes.
