Spitzer Policy Will Let Illegal Immigrants Get Driver's Licenses

Where is the common sense?! Where is the patriotism and pride of citizenship? Providing Driver's licenses to ILLEGAL immigrants is no solution at all. If you want to put a dent in the immigration of illegal aliens in the United States and increase the safety of our legitimate citizens, you have to quit giving incentive for illegals to be here to begin with. They already have access to our schools, our health care systems, our welfare systems, and now we want to bestow them with Driver's licenses. They come here for a myriad of reasons, jobs, family, benefits, to escape oppressive government, but they stay because we create conditions that accomodate them. You could start by creating meaningful consequences for the business owners who employ them. Develop better systems for business owners to identify illegals before hiring and make it a requirement. Reserve our schools, welfare systems, and health care for citizens who pay the taxes that create and support them. Develop effective systems for tracking and removing illegal aliens. Especially those who have commited crimes against our citizens and had a negative impact on our society. It's not rocket science and it's not racism. It's called being a United States Citizen. It's called being a part of the United States of America and it's legitimate culture. I hope on some level the Federal Goverment recognizes this and steps in to prevent this and that the true American citizens of New York step up and demand the accountability from their legislators because this affects all of us who legitimately live in this country!
