This may be analogous to 1992, when Bill Clinton and Al Gore ditched their pro-NRA positions so they could appeal to a national Democrat Party constituency. In office they kept their promise. If that's what it takes to elect a President in 2008 who is pro-NRA, I can live with that. But if Giuliani pulls a Bob Dole on us, I'll again vote for a 3rd party.
I'll leave it to others to decide whether Giuliani can be trusted. Rather than trying to do that myself, I'll vote for Bill Richardson against the obvious anti-gun candidates in Tennessee's open primary.
