Thankfully, you are still working at the NY Sun. Your columns just reiterate what the majority of people think. As a New Yorker, here in Virginia, you wrote what many New Yorkers our of the state felt and thought when we first heard the news.
Commissoner Kelly is a decent man, but Mayor Guiliani would never have asked him to make up some story about "construction" for the reason that the Iranian dictator could not go to Ground Zero.
He would have said it himself and as plain as can be, " You don't deserve to be near the sacred ground of those that died there".
I am disappointed in Pres. Bush allowing a visa to this killer of our soldiers. The Iranian Pres. should have been spoken to the U.N. by satelite or taken to the U.N., allowed to give a speech and then taken to a plane to take him back to his country that he dictates.
Instead, the Pres. that I voted for twice, gave him the opportunity for photo ops, c-span carried his lies and deceptive non-answers and Pres. Bush, accomplished nothing but aiding the dictator, with the help of Lee Bolinger, no matter how good a speech Bolinger made prior to Q&A, to be seen all over the world and put his own words to the questions.
In recent days, Pres. Bush is being more like Cindy Sheehan than the Pres. that I voted for. He is going to approve a Universal Health Care and will he also allow "children to ages 26" as Sen. Clinton's Children's Health Care?
