I am not sure what beautiful game Woitalla is talking about. Is it the one that lost to Germany so completely in the last world cup. Or the men's yellow and red card festival we recently suffered through. If entertainment is your benchmark, well I don't think that I have seen many more entertaining games than the USA vs North Korea match that started the women's world cup. Playing a game that mixes possession with direct play is a new thing for the American women. But could any goal be more entertaining or beautiful than Wambach's two touch volley against Sweden. Playing around with the ball in their own penalty area cost Brazil a goal against Australia, was that the beautiful entertaining game you are talking about. Possession is a cute little youth soccer mantra but it does not do much good if all of your possession is in your defensive third or you cannot finish to save your life.
