Well said indeed, sir. Maybe what we need is politicians devoted to public service and not to money? Politicians devoted to the electorate and not to big business or special interest groups. Hum, there's an idea.

What would really help these workers is if the big car makers actually made cars that we the public want and at a price we are willing to pay. So, instead of fighting every proposal for safety, gas economy and so on they embraced what we the public want in our cars and trucks. Now that would be free trade. No need for protectionism then.
