Israel Lobby's Pull Pales Next to Evil Saudi Input

Submitted by Scott Baker, Sep 25, 2007 12:40

While talking about books that support one People or another another, it's worth remembering one book that spoke against the Saudis which you will not be seeing: Alms for Jihad: Charity and Terrorism in the Islamic World. The book was pulled because one of its subjects, a powerful Saudi businessman with a litigious bent, managed to get the small publisher to pull it just before it was released. Without discussing the merrits of his libel claim, it is interesting that anything can, and is, written about Israel, yet when it comes to criticizing anything or anyone in the Arab world, it is an "insult" or a punishable offense. We should think about this before we sell any more American assets to that part of the world.
