I find the subway neither filthy nor expensive (compared with the costs of vehicle ownership). And it wasn't a drizzle that flooded the tracks (it was a torrent overwhelming a complex sewer system). I'm still inclined to agree, a good injection of private enterprise rarely is without benefit.
