Teaching Moment

Academics want to get rid of objectivity because it is "white male patriarchal." Women are subjective and emotional, to them--which implies that women only have half a brain--the right side, the creative, subjective on, so they have to "interconnect" and "scaffold." THAT IS THE HIDDEN AGENDA IN ALL OUR SCHOOLS, KINDERGARTEN TO UNIVERSITY. In addition, these "progressives" furtively feel that minorities don't have a brain in their heads--so give them subjective "fun" engagement and "maybe they'll learn something." Be sweet and maternal yet tough like a mommy-poo when needed. Carolyn, I applaud your OBJECTIVE remarks in your reader comments, which breaks the stereotypes that women and minorities are cooperative, interconnected subjective learners and thinkers. Carolyn, you were not being "cooperative" or "interactive." You were being the objective, intelligent, rational human being that you are! Since the Iran regime works on unrealistic romanticism and subjective emotion, the disciples of such ideology at Columbia applaud their leader because they have had such totalitarianism bludgeoned into them in their "global" group discussions which now take the place of linear, objective lectures (i.e., the bullcrap "men's ways"of knowing). I went to three private universities in '77, '81 and '88. The women in my classes often beat me to a pulp with their lecture note-taking and scores on objective exams. I would even ask to borrow their notes! This is nothing but a cult. Wake Up, America!
