Brooklyn Library Looks To Raise Private Funds

One of the "large number of branch libraries in need of maintenance" is the Pacific Branch strategically located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Pacific. It's a stately Carnegie Library over a century old. It could be renovated to provide a scaled down Visual and Performing Arts Library. It offers an ideal opportunity to have a greater Brooklyn Public Library presence in the BAM Cultural District. Its downstairs auditorium already has a stage and spotlights. It's just waiting for a greenroom and a complete makeover (and a 21st Century Andrew Carnegie?)
