"very, very powerful weapon", eh? Your cops are retards. Check with the ATF ... legally, it's not even a firearm ... my 4yr-old could order one from Cabela's through the mail. It's a muzzle-loader. .50cal is nothing more than the diameter of the bore ... this is nowhere near the .50bmg. It takes about 2min to reload a muzzle-loader ... one shot ... then reload again. You actually pour powder down the bbl, then a wad, then a bullet. At most ranges, a muzzle-loader isn't considered loaded until a cap (for ignition) is set. Many states only allow deer-hunting with shotguns ... as they're (based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever) considered safer for folks in and about their homes. Muzzle-loaders are technically rifles, but are often allowed in shotgun-only zones as well ... because they are presumed to be equally safe.

Simply put, a muzzle-loader ranks right up there with the likes of BB-gun.

This terrorist may well have been up to no good. But a "very, very powerful weapon" he did not have.

Not only will he go free ... he has an excellent chance of successfully suing Benson and/or the police ... unless, of course, wearing a Bush mask is illegal in NY?

It's precisely this type of rhetoric that promotes the vast levels of ignorance so prevalent in our country. Rather than even attempt to report the facts, simply shout "oooo, a GUN!". Although, I must admit, my 4yr-old often enjoys the same sort of attention.

So, is the truth objectionable?
