U.S. Team Winning Games, Not Style Points

Now that Brazil has gone in the final says it all. Greg Ryan moaned and groaned about how the Brazilian women can be rough and how they hack etc. The Brazilian women displayed soccer that was full of skill & imagination and confidence and hungry for the ball. What beautiful soccer!!! Marta has taken the women's game onto a whole new level she is the superstar for years to come. She along with all those women grew up playing a game they loved in a country that banned women from playing (the same as in England who by the ways had a bad 10 minutes vs.USA if they had a bit more experience it may proven a diffrent story) with no infrastructure, played with and against boys in their younger years in the streets wherein they developed their skills and tricks and dreamed to have a piece of the game that the Brazilian men have so enjoyed . They did not have the millions of dollars and organization spent on the youth and womens game as in the States and played alot of street soccer. It is a lesson to be learned by the Yanks and maybe what is lacking in influencing the bigger picture.
