The first amendment is a limit on the powers of the federal government, not a grant of freedom. It outlines an inalienable human right. The right to express your opinion and not be silenced.
Of course this right applies to our universities. This is a place of learning where all sides of the argument must be heard. Otherwise we are fooling ourselves into thinking we actually understand the complete picture.
