Dear Mr. Langbert,

It never ceases to amaze me how often we hear about the rising cost of a college education in the United States! I often wonder if the college administrators and the top one percenters of our society ever get down out of their Ivory towers and go out into the real world to see how just how bad it is getting for the next generation of "students" (and parents for that matter). I have three lovely and talented children who all deserve to receive a decent college education. Unfortunately even with a combined income of over $140,000/year this is still a pipe dream. I will not qualifiy for needs-based financial aid and will be expected to contribute more then my wife and I could afford without moving into an appliance box under the highway! And let us not forget about the free or subsidised education that is being afforded to the many foreigners living in this great country. If we as a civilized nation want to ensure future generations of educated and capable young leaders are the norm and not a dieing breed then we need to stop playing games with their futures and start working on regulating the ubsurd rising cost of a decent college education now!!! If this means that the government has to step in then let's get the ball rolling already parents!!! The citizens of other countries are laughing at us as the take their newly received diplomas and return to their respective countries only to contribute nothing to the great USA who provided it to them in the first place. A college education is not something that is an option any more as we are in an age of constant technological and industrial progress. I would love to hear from other concerned parents out there. Perhaps if we ban together our voices will be heard on Capitol Hill!!!
