Bush Wades Into Campaign To Succeed Him

Submitted by Brad Thomas, Sep 27, 2007 16:16

The President said something that is nearly correct. The President is quoted as stating:

"That leads me to come to this conclusion: that most Democrats are afraid of irritating a left-wing group like MoveOn.org — or more afraid of irritating them than they are of irritating the United States military."

He should have said most Democrat presidential candidates are more concerned with alienating leftist political interest groups like MoveOn.org than they are with offending the US military. This is not to say that Democrat presidential candidates are not careful to avoid publicly offending military families, and military voters.

It has been documented by a number of authors, that the Democrat presidential candidate who is a lock for the nomination shares the same "regard" for the military as President no. 42, i.e., utter loathing contempt.
