Greg Behrman, of Harvard's Carr Center and the Aspen Institute, waxes eloquent in commending Bill Clinton, e.g.,
"In the past decade, America has seen an explosion of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and charitable giving, making it clear that there is a deep reservoir of goodwill and desire to be of service among Americans.
"Leaving the presidency at the ripe age of 54, Bill Clinton determined that he would devote his post-presidency to mining this reservoir, with the aim of tackling some of the most daunting problems of our age.
"This is a very good thing. Mr. Clinton's talents, his intellectual energy, his imagination, and his star appeal remain prodigious. And so are the problems that we face. In "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World" (Knopf, 256 pages, $24.95), his third and latest book, Mr. Clinton issues a call to action. He wants all Americans to enter the fray, to become citizen activists, giving money, time, things, skills — anything they can muster — to engage challenges ranging from dirty beaches to illiteracy, from global warming to AIDS in Africa."
And though Bill's & Hillary's evil deeds have not caught up with them, nor will in this lifetime, wreckage continues to flow like a sewage slick in their wake. Yes, Mr. Behrman, Clinton's book will be "widely read" by the movers and shakers...and you will be delighted when Bill & Hillary are back where they believe they belong, from where they can manipulate the actual bully pulpit, can rule and reign by machiavellian executive orders, and prove that the legacy they left in the wake of their previous presidency and their governorship was not anomalous, but was a precursor of the damage that would result from the accomplished pursuit of their ultimate ambitions.
And perhaps Mr. Behrman you can then participate as a member of their official braintrust, rather than as a soldier in their shadow braintrust.
