in response to reader comment: Conditions in Iraq

American economy is the least dependent one among the other key industrial powers on this earth--such as Japan or European countries--on the the Middle Eastern oil. To me,America is in Iraq now only to maintain its financial privilleges that are underpinned by PETRODOLLAR order. Only by controlling the Middle Eastern oil-producing regimes will the US continue to print the predominant currency unit on earth--the US Dollar--by which it has been financing its domestic consumption and military arsenal--both are unseen.

Do you really think that Us can leave Iraq? I dont think so! Iraq will remain occupied even after the nominal withdrawal of US troop thanks to the constitution that enables American companies dominate this countries most prominent sector, some %90 of its GDP--Oil industry. All those guys who you thought corrupted are necessary to legitimate such exploitation by US through giving the Iraqis the impression of being ruled by their own peoples. The more so, they have to be backward enough religiously to make ordinary Iraqis sleep with religious dogmas as the best way to explain why they are obliged to be POOR (cos God Wills It).

Thus, nothing is wrong with this Administration, it is doing well, I might say!
