McCain Campaign Clarifies ‘Christian Nation' Remarks

Submitted by thefrontpage, Oct 1, 2007 10:47

The United States of America is literally NOT a Christian nation. It was literally NOT founded on Christian tenets. The United States of America was founded on a notion of religious freedom for EVERYONE, no matter what your religion, and that includes Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan, Satanist, Agnostic, Atheist, Zen Buddhist, Buddhist, Whatever, and Christian.

The U.S.A. is NOT a "Christian" nation and it is NOT founded on Christian tenets.
