George Orwell called it 60 years ago. It's a reality in London, and now The Big Apple. Bloomberg is just another party hack in the police state that the U.S. is inexorably becoming. Our Kommissar proclaims that once you register your car and put a license plate on it you completely surrender your privacy to Big Brother. Too bad that the law requires you to register a car. It's not like we have a choice. So it's either walk or learn to love BB. Al-Qaeda doesn't need to launch any more attacks on us. We are destroying our democracy with each and every "security" camera. We have gotten about as far away from "Give me liberty or give me death" as we possibly can. America has become a snivelling, security-obsessed nation of cowards. You know, George Bush was right about one thing: Bring 'em on. We can beat them, but we've chosen to join them.
