McCain Fails To Mollify Critics of ‘Christian Nation' Comments

Submitted by Jim Nelson, Oct 3, 2007 08:29

I fear Senator McCain doth protest too much. The former "Straight Shooter" has twisted himself into a pretzel trying to pander to the religious right and supporters of George W. Bush in the Republican base. It is all for naught, as the Republican faithful have already written McCain off due to his support for immigration reform. Still, it's sad to see a man so throughly sell out only to see his ambitions quashed.
