Rabbi Ellenson's article on his personal refusal to participate in a meeting with the president of Iran hits the mark. It could be added that it is in itself odd (and part of the problem) that some religious leaders even regarded the meeting with a government official having a political agenda as an "interfaith" dialogue.
Rabbi Ellenson's article speaks eloquently against manipulation masquerading as dialogue. The Sun is also guilty. The paper ran this article in its print edition under a header which does not reflect anything written in the article and which clearly was designed to exploit the readership. I'm pleased to see that the online edition has a better header but feel that the Sun should apologize to all of its readers for the manipulative header in the print edition. I would also suggest that, if headline writers are in fact to rule over us, they at least run for the position.
