Educators Only Need Apply to New Bronx Housing

I'm a little squemish about the City providing funding for a such a specific group of workers, but to say this strategy lacks a long-term view, is completely missing the point. The lack of quality public education is one of, if not the most significant reason for enduring poverty where it exists in the City (and the world). Besides a lack of affordable housing, it's also the biggest reason talented individuals and families leave NYC. Making sure we can attract top-quality educators should be the City's #1 priority, as a high quality educational system would solve so many of the seemingly intractable problems we deal with on a day to day basis. Someone should write a book on this. Oh wait, there are hundreds.
