I would vigorously reiterate all the points you make, which are accurate in every respect--I first attended college in 1982, at University of Florida; and again in 1992, at Appalachian State University, and so know academia from a broad spectrum, of institution and time--but the last time I submitted commentary on a Sun editorial/opinion article, I stated almost exactly your points in their entirety. It was not printed. And the New York Sun is the sheet most supportive of American culture and values, to wit, freedom of every sort, and brutally honest self-analysis! I would, but wonder if my remarks will be ignored again.
