I am glad the City is targeting illegal guns! I am sure mayor bloomburg is proud of this and he will use it to further his campaign on LEGAL guns and gun laws! I carry a legaly owned gun and have a concealed weapons permit because this is my right as defined in the constitution by the 2nd ammendment. I would rather he further his focus on the illegal guns they have been tracking, confiscating and using the multiple state and federal laws we already have on the books to prosicute these criminals. Because next it will be freedom of speech then freedom to assemble peacfully then to be secure in our homes and documents and so on and so on. It is a fact that were law abiding people that carry firearms for self-defense the violent crime rates have gone down considerably. Why? because the bad guy is looking for an easy mark, not someone who is armed and will challeng him/her!
