Have we gotten to the point where "unilaterally and without consultation" means "had musician representation on the search committee?"

There are/were musicians who were upset with management's decision to engage Eschenbach without a specific mandate from the Orchestra, but that's a far cry from saying the decision was "without consultation" don't you think?
