I found the article interesting not only for its comprehensive coverage of the exhibition, but also for urging the reader to shift his focus from a trouble torn Kashmir to its artistic achievements over the centuries. I am a little confused, though, by the author's concluding remark that art has a life of its own. What is art if not " the consciously determined pursuit of Truth and of Beauty."
