Public Funding May Go Up For Underdogs

The CFB has gone from a noble experiment to another example of the road to hell being paved with good intentions. Not only do they change the rules as they go along (which by the way has led to an incredibly inordinate amount of candidates being fined) but they also seem to think they have been appointed by someone to run the entire city electoral process. Okay someone misses a debate. What if the candidate is too ill to be there or has a conflict or their brother is getting married that day. You see where we are going here? As much as some may try you cannot legislate human morality or behavior to the extent the CFB wishes to. In the future we are going to se emore and more candidates eschewing their (blood) money and running without it. This will be especially true of incumbent City Council members who don't want to put up with the CFB's, dare we say, crap. I am really starting to believe the people of this city would be better off jettisoning the CFB and spending the money on something more useful like educating our children or feeding people who do not have enough to eat.

CFB is really doing exceptional work and I strongly support that they proceed to regulate instead of having the Council... [MORE]
