You state that "the Republican party has long fought for freedom".

I ask - does this continue to be the case? Freedom of movement across borders? Apparently not. Freedom to marry whoever you want to marry? Apparently not, unless you are heterosexual.

Notice that these are Pareto-improving exchanges between two consenting adults.

So much for Republicans and freedom.

Too bad I am neither American born nor heterosexual.
