Cell Phone Ban Begets New Market

Submitted by Grandpajoe, Oct 15, 2007 11:37

This cell phone market targets only kids in schools with metal detectors. Why should the kids in the poorest areas have to pay some ridiculous fee every day, while the children in better, wealthier districts get the "privilege" of keeping it in their backpacks for free. The ban is obviously ineffective as it is obvious kids will bring their cellphones no matter what. We should not allow children in the poorest districts to waste 2 dollars a day on a service that should be useless.
