Sometimes I don't know how television writers stay in business. To continue the 'girl on top' syndrome take a look at the Women's Murder Club' It's like The Jane Austin Book Club, but with bodies littered about.
I seriously think that TV executives have to take programming out of the hands of the college drop-outs that seem to be running the show. Give up on the Rainbow Coalition already !!! It's like watching The Brady Bunch with Marsha played by a Samoan. It just defies reality. No matter how liberal you want to be...reality will always get in the way. And TV should have some element of reality abou it. Torchwood isn't for everyone. But then again, Mad Men is awful too, and that is like an Episcopal Social Club. One good thing about the current TV season is that it has driven me back to Fielding, Dickens and Defoe. Now there would be an interesting set of series. Enough with the rubbish, please.
