U.N. Sends Envoy Back to Burma

Submitted by MichelleH, Oct 16, 2007 15:18

The UN is taking too weak a stand and the militia do not care one bit about what anyone has to say. Valuable time is being wasted, as activists are being hauled away, imprisoned in prisons or work camps. They are being brutally tortured, denied food or water, clothing, and receive no medical care. Most of them are never heard from again.

If we do not physically and forcibly gain access into Burma, the Burmese will be wiped out. This is becoming a history lesson in exactly why and how no one moved in Nazi Germany until it was too late. We are looking for every excuse under the sun to not intervene for fear of offending China. These people are begging for help and assistance....and this is the best the UN can do?
