Hello. New York. This is the rest of the country speaking. Can you hear us over all the din you are making regarding the presumed importance your city has over the country's politics? Yes, it is possible that both major candidates(or three as some would hope) will be New Yorkers. However, the rest of us have something at stake here as well. While the New York Times and the New York Sun are formidable influences in their own right, those of us out here in Hicksville, USA still have the ability to form our own opinions about the issues. I read both publications as part of an effort to get a more balanced view of what is important to the American people. One has to only pay attention to realize those things are pretty much the same as they always have been. The politicians just put their own twist on them and try to make us believe they have the right solutions and try to get us to vote them into office. What I want is a leader that will be able to keep us on the right path socially, economically, morally, and politically without pandering to or being influenced by special interest groups, ethnic or otherwise.
