Mukasey Breezing by, But Terror War Could Falter

Shame on the Judiciary Committee. Having written a personal letter to Sen. Leahy with a copy to Senator Durbin and having provided them with the transcripts of October 2, 2001, neither of them questioned Judge Mukasey about why he refused my client medical attention when I informed the Judge that my client had been beatern by the guards at MCC South Manhattan. My client's injuries were documented a day or two later by MCC medical personnel. My client was one of the material witnesses swept up in the post-9/11 sweep by a warrant signed by Mukasey - a disingenuous warrant in which my client was described as not cooperating with the F.B.I. when in fact he had been fully cooperating for a week before his arrest. Mukasey played fast and loose with my client's rights, and he'll do it again as soon as he is annointed with the prosecutoria power of the U.S. government. During the 9/11 material witness proceedings he was a lap dog for the prosecutors. Now he can be the Rotweiler.
