First off, I don't think Mr. Bell got what he deserved. However, when one lies down with dogs, one is apt to wake up with fleas. Take an objective look: "aspiring athlete" well known to police, not one but two illegitimate children, strip club before church wedding(with father), no job, borrowing babymamma's car, 17 arrests between the occupants of the car.

They always say "he was such a good boy, he was just on the verge of turning his life around." Or "he just started hanging around with the wrong crowd" Perhaps the cops should just sit in their cars eating doughnuts and drinking coffee rather than fight crime and facing lawsuits.
