When it took 8 months to approve my concealed carry permit in Ontario County N.Y.in 1975 I saw the"handwriting on the wall"I moved to Alabama several years later, and have been a loyal resident since. Why? The local Sherrif renews my permit each year for a $15.00 charge and a quick background check. The process takes about 10 minutes. A handgun purchase takes a few minutes more, as the transaction has to go thru the NICS check, then I walk out the door with my purchase right after. Bloomberg is welcome to "monitor" all dealers in Alabama, we'll take his money, and make good use of it to obtain more stock to sell to our customers. When are the anti gun proponents going to realize that more gun laws are as useless as the Prohibition laws in the Twenties? What people want,people are going to get - no matter what the laws are. I think that all politicians should concern themselves with more worthwile pursuits - perhaps by listening more to their constituents who elected them to office, rather than the big money trial lawyers. How about term limits on the state and federal levels? What a wonderful thought!!!!!!!
