What? What kind of spin is this? Government consfiscation and subsequent wealth redistribution is not charity. It is the purchase of voter blocks by politicians. Thus 80-90 % of welfare recipients vote Democrat. What about the well known inneficiency of government welfare. The greatest beneficiary as a percentage is the bureaucracy, not the needy. Far left states like New York and California have been given a black eye and have been labelled as hypocrits by charitable giving studies and this is a thinly veiled attempt to shore up their reputations. Nice try, but I'm not buying.
