Bell's Life Ended Just as He Was at Moment of Transition
in response to reader comment: Never tried to run anyone over

Steve,

You should thank your lucky stars that you can frequent strip clubs in upscale neighborhoods. You're not fooling anyone but yourself by thinking drugs aren't as prevalent in those clubs vs. those in urban area clubs though. And, just because Bell has priors in relation to drug arrests, doesn't mean he's a thug and deserved to be killed in this instance. Furthermore, if this same set of circumstances had occured at the fancy strip clubs you like to visit, involving someone who is hard working and a stand up citizen, would you feel differently?

Steve, did you take a moment to think about how you would react given what we've learned so far about what allegedly happened that night? Consider this, you and a few of your well to do buddies deceide to go out to your favorite strip joint. You have a few drinks, a good time and then deceide to go home. You get in your car and all of sudden the guy (unbeknownst to you he's a police officer in plain clothes) who was just sitting a few feet from you at the bar (you might have even bought him a damn drink) is now pointing a gun at you.

Almost anyone would have reacted similar to Bell in this instance, even if a police badge was shown. When you are confused, feel at risk and have a gun pointed towards you--you need to make a decision fast. Bell did what a lot of us would do given the circumstances(fight or flight?)--he tried to get the hell out of there.
