Torre Knew the Right Decision Was To Walk Away

Submitted by Ed, Oct 20, 2007 16:28

Joe Torre did a great job and he was paid very well doing this job. He didn't exactly put the (Yankee) world on fire the last 7 years. What is so wrong to put some incentives in the new offer. $5 million basic salary with one mil every step of the way to the world series. Was he afraid he couldn't reach the post season? With all the great players he has at his disposition and finally with what looks like a great starting rotation. Come on, there are two sides at a story. Thank Joe, all the best.
