I believe in the right to each person's opinion. However, I cannot stand idly by and watch my school and my principal be needlessly slandered like this. From what I have observed and what I have heard from parents, staff, and even students, NEST+m has been run like a "dictatorship", a "private school", and even a "prison" where there was no place whatsoever for parents or staff to express their opinion. Anyone who disagreed with or questioned the previous administration was run out of school.
Now that NEST+m is finally being run like a legitimate public school (which many people like the PTA Exec Committee seem to forget that's what the schools is), it is upsetting many people that our new administration would rather "play by the rules" than flout them in order to appease them. They cannot stand the fact that all the illegal and shady business done in the past is now coming back to them.
The picture that is being painted by a few fanatical PTA members at NEST+m is hardly accurate. The majority of us know that our school is united in moving forward for our students, rather than wallowing in the tainted past.
