I don't know why A. Klik thinks Canada is North America's biggest market for pharmacetuicals. In 2005, $252 billion was spent in the US on pharmaceuticals versus $16.5 billion in Canada. In Canada the price of brand name drugs is controlled by the government, which is why they are cheaper. Millions of Americans buy drugs in Canada over the internet for that reason. They are risking their health by bypassing their health professional and potentially receiving counterfeit drugs. But has anyone in the US asked if Canada wants to act as the drug store of the US? The answer is no - solve your own health system problems and leave our drug supply alone.
