One Play May Dictate LSU's Fate

If he would look closely at the touchdown catch, he would realize that Demetrius Byrd caught the ball with 4 seconds remaining on the clock. If it had fallen incomplete, there would have been at least 2-3 seconds left as the clock would have stopped on an incomplete pass. Plenty of time to bring out the kicker for a potential game winning 39yd field goal. Maybe Levine should invest a new HD television so he can read the game clock easier. It was a gutsy call that kept Auburn from having time to put in a prevent defense that would have given the defender over the top help from the safety. It was Tubberville that made the blunder of not using one of his timeouts to setup the defense and prevent the game winning touchdown. He (Tubberville) should have conceded the field goal attempt and used one his timeouts. It would have also given his team a shot at its own game winning field goal with enough time on the clock for a couple of completions after the kick-off.
