Since my visit to Chile four months after the coup, I saw the positive reaction of business owners large and small in spite disaster left by Allende, and later, their enthusiasm for this enlightened wave of economic change. Unfortunately, the wail from the narrow, highly ignorant left has prevented the truth of Chile today to reach the international public especially in the USA. It has been interesting to note that the four democratically elected governments following Pinochet have not changed one iota of his reforms.
