i much appreciate your columns...they are well written and thoughtful

i do wish everyone, from players through broadcasters and writers, would refrain from continually referring to the american league as the more offensively potent league....the a.l. did outscore the n.l. in 2007, but only by 4%...and the n.l. outhomered the a.l. by the same 4%...(neither percentages are adjusted for pitchers and designated hitters)....and as for 'national league' baseball, that league out stole the a.l. by a scant 1%..none of these numbers are anomolies, it's been going on for years now
