"Nothing makes a citizen more selfish than socially equitable communitarism..." Mark Stein affirms. I think it is true the opposite and I could not disagree more on this issue. I come from Southern Europe and I have never seen in New York and the USA such altruism as for the people there. They might have lesser means, but they have a big heart. The sense of family and giving is way different from the individualistically exasperated society in the USA. Mismanagement of public money in Europe should not be confused with no need of healthcare reforms in the USA.
