Some famous person once said "Beware the wrath of a patient man" I say "Beware the wrath of a patient USA" Our history is littered with the weak words those who would have us believe that our enemies can be convinced by our honorable peaceful intentions. When our history continually proves the only way to peace is through strength. I am dumfounded by the constant hand wringing by our so called leaders as to what path to take. Granted, our first option should be to try and solve our problem by peaceful means but, we can not lose sight of the reason we continue to exist as the longest Democratic Society in the history of the world. Most every people from most every country want what we have and I could list them all one by one but it would take to much space. What we have is the reason we must always continue to fight for and it is simply called Freedom.
My first fear is that I believe that history will repeat it's self as it most always does and the Baker/Hamilton surrender report is the first step in defeat. It is written by people with good intentions but it is still wrong. As soon as the people of this Great Nation realize that the "Battle in Iraq" is not a war it is simply the first battle in a new kind of war that has never been fought in our countriies history then we will win the battle and then the war. Unfortunately the second and greatest fear is that history will really repeat itself and a much more devastating attack will result in a more devastating war with many more deaths here in our homeland and around the world. We will lthen look back, point fingers, and place blame, but not where it should be placed. Because we as a nation are not run by the politicians that make or break our lives everday with their passing of idiotic laws, but by the everday citizen that sits back and complains about most everything but yet continues to watch cartoons and the other drivel that passes for entertainment instead of getting involved with the survival of our country. We are going to lose not because we can't beat them with weapons or idealogy, it is because we are to free. To much of anything is bad for your health, to bad it's to bad for an entire nation.
