The World According to Paul Krugman

Submitted by Ted Linden, Oct 24, 2007 14:13

Congratulations on a fair review. I've read several conservative review's of Krugman's book and this is the first that doesn't just quibble, attack, and distort. I would love to see a thoughtful opposing book by a conservative economist. All I usually hear is supply-side, laissez-faire polemics that ignore the last 47 years of economic research showing that most economic systems need to be designed by somebody to cope with the real world problems of imperfect competition, unequal information, and externalities. I would love to see ideas for minimizing the influence of politicians in economic system design as long as the solution is not just to let the people with the most economic power do it.
